Floor boxes made by OBO: frame cassettes and height-adjustable cassettes
The compact, flush-floor cassettes from OBO provide power, data and multimedia connections in a high-quality design. The height-adjustable cassettes can be levelled to the height of the floor.

Height-adjustable cassettes
The height-adjustable floor boxes can be adjusted exactly to the top edge of the floor covering. The cassettes can be installed inside underfloor duct systems in a screed box or in system floors. They are fastened to the raw concrete using height-adjustment units.
Frame cassettes
The frame cassettes are fastened directly on an underfloor junction and branch box without the use of a blanking lid. The cassette frame is fastened to the box body using four fastening screws and forms an allround contact edge for the neighboring floor covering. The cassette is laid in the junction and branch box and runs flush to the cassette frame. All the versions have a seal which acts either as knock protection or as moisture protection.
Cassettes with cord outlets
Both cassette systems are available are available in different versions. One of these is the cord outlet version. Cassettes with brass and stainless steel cord outlets are the ideal solution for dry and moist-cleaned floors, such as wooden planks or parquets.

- Practical details: The integrated equipotential bonding guarantees the conductive connection between the cassette lid and the frame.
- Loads: An integrated 4mm thick sheet steel plate increases the load capacity of the floor boxes. They are tested according to the standard EN 50085-2-2 in the highly modern testing systems of the OBO BET Test Centre.
- Hinged cord outlet: The floor boxes have a pivoted cord outlet which protects the cable exit in dry and moist-cleaned floors.
Cassettes with tube body
The floor sockets with tube body are suitable for wet-cleaned floors. Even big plugs like from CEE-systems can be passed through the tube body opening.

- High-quality materials: The visible components of the floor sockets are made of stainless steel. This gives them a fine appearance and, at the same time, made them resistant to cleaning agents.
- Practical tube body: The tube body can be opened for cable routing in just a few simple steps and can just as easily be lowered in order to be flush with the floor.
- Wet care: The floor socket with tube body fulfill the IP requirements for installation in wet-cleaned floors even when the floor box is in use (acc. to EN 50085-2-2).
With which kinds of floor structures are the floor sockets compatible?
The floor sockets from OBO are suitable for installation in underfloor trunking systems, as well as in system floors. They are compatible with various underfloor systems, including the EÜK-SN screed-covered system and the open OKA-T screed-flush system.
Which alternatives and variants can be found in the OBO product range?
The OBO solution for areas with high load requirements are the heavy duty cassettes. The cassettes are adequately dimensioned for absorbing traffic loads. Depending on the version, they are rated for individual static loads up to 10 kN or 20 kN.
Planning Checklist for cassettes
When selecting underfloor systems with cassettes, the following planning criteria should be considered:
- Pay attention to the type of floor covering. For example: Insert a floor box with tube body for wet-cleaned floors.
- Select the size of floor sockets according to the number of installation units.
